This is a five-year-old Irish single malt from The Whistler Distillery, bottled at 46% in a 70cl bottle. The whiskey is triple distilled.
It matured for the full five years in Oloroso sherry casks from Spain, and the Bodega name refers to the Spanish bodegas that supplied them. Colour has been added.
The nose brings dark fruit, leather, chocolate and tobacco, with citrus peel and caramel. The palate is oily, with leather, spice, dried figs and sultanas, and the finish is long, with dried fruit and malty sweetness.
