The Whistler Bodega Cask 5 Year Old is a triple-distilled Irish single malt from Boann Distillery in Co. Meath, bottled at 46% in a 70cl bottle. It is non-chill filtered.
The whiskey was aged for at least five years, entirely in Oloroso sherry butts from the bodegas of Jerez in Spain.
The nose is of dried figs, dates, toasted nuts and baking spice. On the palate come creamy toffee, stewed fruit, spice and a hint of leather, leading to a long, warming, sherried finish with a lingering nutty sweetness.
