The Whistler Distillers Select Double Oaked is a small-batch, triple-distilled Irish whiskey made by Boann Distillery in County Meath, Ireland. It is bottled at 43% ABV in a 75cl bottle.
The whiskey is matured first in ex-bourbon barrels and then finished in oloroso sherry casks. It is unpeated.
The nose combines vanilla bean, honey, orchard fruits and subtle toasted oak. On the palate there is sweet malt, caramel, raisins, dried figs and gentle spice. The finish is long and warming, with lingering sherry richness and oak spice.
