The Yamazaki 18 Year Mizunara Japanese Oak Cask is a Japanese single malt from the House of Suntory's Yamazaki Distillery, founded in 1923. It is bottled at 43% ABV in a 70cl bottle and comes in a black presentation box with copper-toned lettering.
The whisky spent 18 years maturing in Mizunara oak, a wood native to Japan and associated with sandalwood, incense, delicate spice and coconut.
Its flavour is described as ripe orchard fruit, dark cherry, dried apricot, honey, vanilla, cinnamon, sandalwood and delicate incense, with a silky texture and a long finish.
