The Yamazaki Golden Promise Tsukuriwake 2024 Japanese Single Malt (48%)

The Yamazaki Golden Promise Tsukuriwake 2024 is a Japanese single malt bottled at 48% ABV. It is made from Golden Promise barley, a variety first grown in Scotland in the 1960s. The whisky was distilled in 2009 and matured in American oak casks. It was then blended with Yamazaki 12 Years Old to give a deep, round character. The nose shows sweet malt, vanilla and honey. The palate is full-bodied, with orange marmalade, vanilla custard and touches of spicy oak. The finish is long, sweet and fruity, with citrus flavours.
