Thomas H. Handy Sazerac Rye 18 Year is a Kentucky straight rye whiskey from Buffalo Trace in Frankfort, in a 75cl bottle. This is the 2024 annual release in the Buffalo Trace Antique Collection, bottled uncut and unfiltered after 18 years.
The nose is mellow spice and dry sweetness with oak, leather, molasses and allspice, and mint and eucalyptus as it opens. The palate has cinnamon, vanilla and rye spice well integrated with deep oak. The finish is long and warm, with mint, eucalyptus, cinnamon, vanilla and lingering pepper.
