Thomas H. Handy Sazerac Rye is a Kentucky straight rye from Buffalo Trace in Frankfort, part of the Buffalo Trace Antique Collection. This is the 2006 annual release, bottled uncut and unfiltered at 66.35% ABV in a 750ml bottle.
It is one of the earliest Handy releases from the collection.
The nose is bold rye spice with dried fruit and caramel. The palate is powerful, with rye grain, dark fruit and warm spice, and the finish is long, with pepper, cinnamon and rye.
