Thomas H. Handy Sazerac is a straight rye whiskey bottled at 63.6% in a 75cl bottle. It is uncut and unfiltered, and is bottled directly from the barrel.
The name honours the New Orleans bartender who first used rye whiskey in the Sazerac Cocktail.
The notes describe a powerful, lush and boldly spicy whiskey with toffee, fig cake and candied fruit, followed by mint, cinnamon and clove. The finish brings allspice, coconut and nutmeg, and is long and warm.
