Thomond Gate The Nightingale is a six-year-old Irish single malt in a 70cl bottle, bottled at 49% ABV. It is named in honour of Catherine Hayes, the Nightingale of Limerick, a soprano who performed in grand opera houses and at royal courts.
The whiskey was first matured in ex-bourbon casks, then finished in Amarone and Imperial Stout casks. The two finishes are married together, giving a whiskey that balances richness with complexity.
