A 20-year-old blended malt Scotch from the independent bottler Thompson Bros, from the 2001 vintage and bottled at 45% ABV. It was matured in sherry casks, and 630 bottles were released.
The nose combines sherry with dense dried fruit and toasted nuts, sweet caramel and malted biscuits. On the palate come baked apples with gentle spice and sweet oak, leading to crunchy peanut brittle. The finish brings candied fruit, a hint of orange peel, plums and sweet spices.
