SRV5 is a blended malt Scotch whisky from Thompson Bros, aged over 8 years and bottled at 48.5% in a 70cl bottle. It is non-chill-filtered and of natural colour.
The nose is led by Galia melon, apricot, waxed lemons and green apple, with lemongrass, cucumber and lime cordial. Capers in brine and green peppercorns add a savoury note, with coastal peat and beach bonfires behind.
On the palate come greengage, cantaloupe melon, banana smoothie and lemon oil, with thyme, olive oil, candlewax and gentle smoke. The finish is long and waxy, with lemon balm, camphor and earthy peat.
