Tim Smith Climax Whiskey is an American whiskey in the bourbon style, made to a century-old moonshine recipe from Tim Smith.
Ageing and filtering both use toasted oak and maple wood, which add colour and flavour. The whiskey then cools in oak containers as the final step, and the maker describes the result as being in a class of its own.
