Timorous Beastie 18 Year Old is a blended malt from Douglas Laing's Regional Malts series. It is a vatted malt that combines whiskies from Dalmore, Glengoyne and Glen Garioch, matured in bourbon casks.
The nose opens with gentle spices, heather honey, vanilla and juicy barley. On the palate honey returns alongside vanilla, toasted oak and barley, with a late touch of macerated dark fruit. The finish is bone dry, with a spicy note like a cough sweet and more honey, vanilla, oak and barley.
