Timorous Beastie Highland Vatted Malt

Timorous Beastie is a Highland blended malt from Douglas Laing's Regional Malts series. It vats whiskies from Dalmore, Glengoyne and Glen Garioch, and the whisky was matured in bourbon casks. The name comes from the Robert Burns poem To a Mouse. The nose opens gently sweet and floral, with light barley and spiced honey. The palate starts softly spicy before turning fruity, with sugar, raisins and caramel. The finish is subtle and sweet, with a touch of cough candy and camphor, and oak and cereal in the background.
