This is Batch 1 of Tipperary's Homegrown Barley single malt, an Irish whiskey bottled at 50% ABV. It is non-chill-filtered and of natural colour, and 2,000 bottles were produced.
The whisky was matured in a first-fill ex-Rioja oak cask.
The nose has plenty of soft fruit, close to a Victoria sponge with strawberry and raspberry and a hint of dried grass. The palate is deep and round, with raspberry and a touch of toasted marshmallow. The finish is medium and surprisingly robust for its age.
