Tomatin – 18 Years Single Malt Scotch Whisky (70cl, 46%)

This is an 18 year old Tomatin single malt, bottled at 46% in a 70cl bottle. Tomatin once had 23 stills and was the largest malt whisky distillery in Scotland. It now works at a slower pace and releases smaller runs such as this one. The whisky spent around two and a half years in sherry casks as a finish. The nose is sweet with sherry, apple, cinnamon, vanilla and a little smoke. Honey and oak lead on the palate, followed by citrus and a trace of dark chocolate. The finish is long, sweet and dry.
