Tomatin – 2010 Amarone Cask 12 Years Italian Collection (70cl, 46%)

Tomatin Amarone Cask is one of three single malts in the Italian Collection, each matured in Italian wine casks. This one was distilled on 6 December 2010 and spent its first ten years in American oak, followed by two years in a former Amarone wine cask. It was bottled on 5 June 2023. It is bottled at 46% in a 70cl bottle, non-chill-filtered and with natural colour. The nose combines orchard fruit with dried fruit, orange peel and marzipan. The palate has sweet notes reminiscent of tawny port, red cherries, toffee and cinnamon. The finish is long, with baking spices, raisins and caramel.
