Tomatin – Decades II (70cl, 46%)

Tomatin Decades II is a limited edition single malt from the Highland distillery, following the original Decades release. It is bottled at 46% in a 70cl bottle. The whisky is a vatting of malts distilled across six decades, drawn from ex-Bourbon barrels and European oak Sherry casks. It is non-chill filtered. The nose is sweet vanilla custard, apricot, cinnamon pastry and gentle oak spice. On the palate come tropical fruit, butterscotch, nutmeg and honey, with dried fruit and a hint of sherry. The finish is long, with orchard fruit, toasted oak and delicate spice.
