This is a 1976 vintage Tomintoul, an 18 year old Speyside single malt from the First Cask Series, bottled at 46%.
The colour is golden amber. The nose combines honey, caramel and dried apricots with oak and subtle vanilla. The palate is smooth and well rounded, with malted barley, sweet honey and rich toffee, a hint of spiced orange and dried fruit, and a touch of creamy vanilla. The finish is medium to long, with oak, gentle spice and a hint of sweet malt.
