Torres Jaime I Reserva de la Familia is a Spanish brandy from Penedès, created in honour of Jaime Torres. It is aged by the traditional solera method in carefully selected oak casks.
It comes in a spiral decanter inspired by the architecture of Antoni Gaudí. It is meant for sipping slowly, neat in a snifter at room temperature.
On the nose there are dried fruits, toasted oak, caramelised sugar, vanilla and a little nutmeg. The palate is silky and full-bodied, with toffee, dark chocolate, roasted nuts, fig and warm spice. The finish is long and warming, with oak, cocoa and sweet spice.
