Traveller Blend No. 40 is a Kentucky blended whiskey made in collaboration between Buffalo Trace Distillery and Chris Stapleton. It is bottled at 45% ABV in a 1.75 litre bottle.
The blend was chosen from more than 50 trial blends. It combines Canadian whiskey with bourbon from Barton Distillery, blended and bottled under Buffalo Trace's supervision in Frankfort, and it contains no grain neutral spirit.
The nose brings vanilla, buttery shortbread, aged fruit and caramel. On the palate, honey and orchard fruit meet baking spice, toasted nut and oak. The finish is moderately long, with oak, spice and dried fruit.
