Tullamore Dew is an Irish blended whiskey, made since 1829 and bottled at 40% ABV in a 70cl bottle.
The blend combines single pot still, single malt and grain whiskey. It is triple distilled and matured for at least four years in a mix of ex-bourbon and ex-sherry casks, the first adding vanilla and wood, the second fruit and a gentle sweetness.
The nose is lightly fruity, with apple, citrus and vanilla. The palate is soft and creamy, with honey, spice, oak, nutty notes and a touch of sherry. The finish is medium in length, gently spicy and softly sweet.
