Two Stacks The Blender's Cut (70cl, 65%)

The Blender's Cut is an Irish blended whiskey from Two Stacks, bottled at 65% in a 70cl bottle without added colour. Only 222 bottles were filled, each by hand. It follows the Irish tradition of bonding, in which merchants put together their own blends from chosen casks. The blend combines five types of whiskey and was matured in virgin oak, ex-bourbon and ex-Oloroso sherry casks. The nose is smoky maple wood and sweet caramel, followed by delicate sherry notes. The palate is very oily, with pronounced peat, sugar caramel, dried raisins and resin from the virgin oak. The finish is long and spicy, with peat, bread and sweet pudding, then a mild sweetness from the grain whiskey.
