Tyrconnell Madeira Cask Finish is a 10 year old Irish single malt in a 70cl bottle, bottled at 46% ABV. After ageing, it is finished in casks that previously held Madeira, the fortified wine from the islands off the Iberian coast.
The strength of 92 proof was chosen to bring out the nuances of those casks.
The nose is salty with red fruit, and the dry finish brings notes of cocoa, caramel and allspice.
