Undisclosed Speyside 1998 27 Year Old Infrequent Flyers (70cl, 53.6%)

A 27 year old Speyside single malt from an undisclosed distillery, distilled in 1998 and bottled in April 2026 at 53.6% in a 70cl bottle. Cask 802366 was finished for four years and eleven months in Chinquapin oak, and the outturn is 200 bottles. It belongs to the Infrequent Flyers series. The colour is copper. The nose is of banana fritters in honey, with marzipan. The palate is full and creamy, with honey cake, honey caramel and Demerara sugar, and underlying nutmeg and pepper. It comes across as intense and powerful, an effect put down to the Chinquapin oak.
