W.L. Weller Antique Reserve 10 Year Old is a wheated Kentucky straight bourbon from Buffalo Trace in Frankfort, bottled in 750ml. It dates from an earlier period of Weller Antique production, when the expression carried a 10-year age statement that has since been dropped.
Weller's wheated recipe replaces rye with wheat as the secondary grain, a approach traced to William Larue Weller, who introduced it in 1849. It uses the same wheated mash bill as Pappy Van Winkle, and the two differ in age, strength and the path each has taken since.
