W.L. Weller Full Proof is a wheated Kentucky straight bourbon from Buffalo Trace Distillery, in a 75cl bottle at 57% ABV. It continues the legacy of William Larue Weller, who used wheat rather than rye as the secondary grain. It is bottled at the same strength at which the spirit enters the barrel, and is non-chill filtered.
The nose is vanilla, dark cherries and caramel. Caramel sweetness meets toasted oak on the palate, and the finish is long, with crème brûlée and chocolate.
