W.L. Weller Special Reserve is a wheated bourbon from Kentucky, bottled at 45% ABV in a 75cl bottle.
Wheat is used in the mash bill in place of rye, and the whiskey is aged in deeply charred American oak barrels.
The nose brings warm caramel fudge, vanilla and oak. On the palate it is creamy and honeyed, deepening into butterscotch and toasted almond with a gentle warmth. The finish is mellow with a little spice.
