This is Walnut Hill, a Kentucky straight bourbon from Buffalo Trace Distillery, released in 2023 as part of its Prohibition Collection. It is bottled at 45% ABV in a 375ml bottle. The brand goes back to Prohibition, when the George T. Stagg Distillery often bottled brands for other companies. Albert Blanton, the distillery's president, oversaw production of Walnut Hill, which was bottled for medicinal whiskey sales. The mash bill is undisclosed, though it is widely believed to be Buffalo Trace's higher-rye recipe. The tasting notes describe citrus zest, spearmint, corn sweetness, plum and peach, and molasses with light oak, then rye spice on the finish.
