A Tale Of Two Cities (And A Wee Toon) is a five-year-old blended Scotch whisky from Watt Whisky, in a 70cl bottle. It was bottled in 2023 at 57.1% ABV, with natural colour and no chill filtration. Only 501 bottles were released.
The name nods to the various Scottish influences in the blend. Sweet grain, fruit and spice sit alongside a subtly smoky, slightly industrial edge.
The nose brings cornflakes, shortbread, candied fruit, cherries, guava and citrus, with tobacco, raisins and brown sugar beneath. The palate is rich and oily, with honey, apricot, raisins, nuts and warm spice. The finish has golden syrup, sultanas, black pepper and oak, with touches of lime, leather and soot.
