Watt Whisky Peatsmoke on Gorgie 5 Year Old (70cl, 57.1%)

Peatsmoke on Gorgie is a five-year-old blended Scotch whisky from the independent bottler Watt Whisky, in a 70cl bottle. It combines 42% peated blended malt with 58% North British grain whisky. It was bottled in 2023 at 57.1% ABV, in a limited release of 618 bottles, without added colouring or chill-filtration. Mineral peat smoke leads the nose, with chalk, fresh apple and gooseberry. The palate is earthy and smoky, with fennel and a salty touch, then citrus, vanilla and pepper. The finish is fairly long and balanced, with peat smoke, malt and light fruit.
