Wave Distil August 17th 2012 'Julius' is a Belgian single malt from a single cask, distilled in 2012 and bottled in 2019 at 52% in a 70cl bottle. It is one of the distillery's earlier releases, and 640 bottles were filled.
The whisky has a Cognac and Porto finish. On the nose it is typically described as sweet grapes, vanilla and wood spices with a Cognac note. The palate brings ripe fruit, honey, caramel, warm oak, port sweetness and light spice, and the finish is long and smooth, with Cognac oak and fruity port.
