Wayne Gretzky Red Cask Canadian Whisky (75cl)

Wayne Gretzky Red Cask is a small-batch Canadian blended whisky made from Ontario grains. The rye, malted rye and corn whiskies are each mashed, fermented and distilled separately, then matured in ex-bourbon barrels for at least three years. The matured spirit is then finished in red wine casks from the Wayne Gretzky Estates winery, which adds a red fruit character and a softer texture to the rye spice. The nose offers dark brown sugar, maple syrup and toasted caramel, with faint floral notes, red grape, apple and citrus peel. On the palate there is maple and vanilla with a little red wine character, then rye spice and toasted oak. The finish is clean and gently warming, of light to medium length.
