This is a wheated Kentucky straight bourbon from Weller, made at Buffalo Trace Distillery in Frankfort and bottled at 45% in a 75cl bottle.
The mashbill is 70% corn, 16% wheat and 14% malted barley, and the spirit is aged in new American white oak barrels. Wheat takes the place of rye as the secondary grain, a practice the source traces to William Larue Weller.
The nose is caramel and vanilla with brown sugar, manuka honey and a light floral note. The palate is sweet with vanilla, butterscotch, cinnamon and honeyed grain, and the finish is medium in length with honeysuckle sweetness and faint oak.
