Smoky Shores 14 Year Old is a peated blended malt from Wemyss Malts, bottled at 46% in a 70cl bottle. It marks the return of the coastal Smoky Shores, now with a 14-year age statement. Master Blender Isabella Wemyss married two peated single malts, one from a distillery known for its smoky character and one better known for unpeated whisky, after maturation in hogsheads. It is non-chill-filtered, and the release comprises 3,552 bottles. The nose is coastal brine and rich peat smoke with salty sea air. The palate brings medicinal peat and sea salt lifted by orange peel, and the finish is long, with white pepper and warming clove.
