Wemyss Malts The Hive – Blended Malt (70cl, 46%)

The Hive is a blended malt Scotch whisky from the independent bottler Wemyss Malts, bottled in small batches at 46% in a 70cl bottle. It is non-chill-filtered and leans towards fruity and floral aromas with a warm, malty sweetness. The nose brings orange blossom honey, warm butter cookies, raisins and a hint of saffron. On the palate are lively orange peel, ginger and honey, then grapefruit and cloves. The finish carries a subtle hint of wood smoke.
