West Cork Maritime 5 Year Old Port Cask is an Irish single malt, triple distilled from malted barley and matured for five years in port casks. It is bottled at 43% ABV without added colouring, with the age shown on the neck of the bottle. The port casks bring dried fruit, dark berries and a warm sweetness, while nuts, wood and pepper give structure. The nose has ripe dates and raisins, with dark berries, vanilla and a hint of pepper. On the palate are juicy apricot, dried plum and citrus, with roasted nuts. The finish holds vanilla, subtle wood and a fine peppery spice.
