West Cork Maritime 5 Year Old Sherry Cask (43%)

This is a five year old Irish single malt from West Cork, made from malted barley and triple distilled. It is bottled at 43% ABV without added colour. The whisky matures in sherry casks, which bring dried fruit, sweetness and spice while the oak stays present without covering the softer base spirit. The nose shows sweet raisins, vanilla and delicate spiced almonds. On the palate, ripe figs and creamy caramel meet oak. The finish is lasting, with roasted hazelnut and a pleasantly dry, woody character.
