West Cork Maritime Port Cask Finish (46%)

West Cork Maritime Port Cask is an Irish single malt, triple distilled and first matured in first fill bourbon casks of American white oak. It then finishes in port casks from Quinta da Boeira and is bottled at 46% ABV, non-chill-filtered and without added colour. It is part of the Maritime Series, and the rounded bottle takes its shape from the glass floats once used to support fishing nets. The nose is soft toffee and vanilla with dried fruit, nutmeg and a little pepper. On the palate, ripe apricot, grapes and dark berries meet lively citrus, crisp nuts and restrained oak spice. Vanilla and a fine woody note linger in the finish.
