West Cork Maritime is an Irish single malt finished in rum casks. It is made from 100% malted barley, triple distilled in the south of Ireland, and bottled at 46% without chill-filtration or added colour.
The rum cask finish adds sweetness and tropical fruit to the malt.
The nose brings vanilla, caramel, dates and raisins, then pineapple and mango, with floral heather and a touch of oats. Oak spice dominates the palate, with creamy caramel, soft vanilla and cinnamon. In the long finish, oak and caramel alternate, with vanilla and cinnamon lingering.
