West Cork Single Malt Rum Cask Finish (43%)

This is an Irish single malt from the West Cork distillery in Skibbereen, made from malted barley and triple distilled. It is bottled at 43%, without chill-filtration or added colour. The whiskey matures first in first-fill bourbon casks, then is finished in rum casks from the Consorcio Licorero Nacional in Panama. The nose has coconut, ripe apricot and soft vanilla, with a light note of aniseed. Juicy pineapple, dark raisins and malt follow on the palate, with bourbon vanilla and growing spice. The finish is long and velvety, led by exotic spices.
