This is a West Cork single malt from Skibbereen in Ireland, triple distilled and bottled at a natural cask strength of 54.7% in a 70cl bottle. It is a small batch of 3,060 bottles made for the German market.
The whiskey matured for four years in first-fill bourbon casks, then spent six months in rum casks from Consorcio Licorero Nacional in Panama. It is non-chill-filtered and has no added colouring.
The nose offers mild, spicy honey and fresh vanilla pod, moving to milk chocolate and roasted coffee beans. On the palate it is soft and full, with papaya, mango and coconut. The finish is smooth and medium in length, with fruit, coffee, vanilla and chocolate.
