Westward – American Single Malt Stout Cask

Westward American Single Malt Stout Cask is an American single malt made in Oregon. It starts as the standard Westward American Single Malt and then receives one further year of maturation in a used stout beer cask. Westward begins by brewing a craft American ale from locally malted barley and beer yeast, fermented slowly at a low temperature. Maturation in American oak casks takes place in Oregon's hot, dry summers and cool, wet winters. Notes include stone fruit, roasted grain and pecan, with a full flavour and a dry finish.
