Ken's Artisan Sourdough 2nd Edition is an American whiskey from Westward Distilling, made with baker Ken Forkish. French sourdough levain yeast takes the place of the usual yeast, and the mash is fermented for about two weeks. It is a blend of four vintages, aged roughly two to six years, and the sourdough brings bread-like, doughy aromas to the front. It is bottled at 45% ABV in a 70cl bottle. The nose offers rye spice, vanilla wafer, peppermint and heather honey. On the palate it is creamy butterscotch with earthy herbs and minty spice, followed by a finish of stone fruit, chocolate and vanilla bean.

About Glenbotal

The idea of Glenbotal came to us naturally: as whisky lovers, we were always on the lookout for new experiences in the whisky world. That’s why we created Glenbotal and became our very own first customers. We buy unique and hard to find spirits from ballots and private collections. Then, we share them with a small circle of friends and people who can appreciate a good dram.
