This is an American single malt from Westward in Portland, Oregon, bottled at 45% ABV (90 proof) in a 750ml bottle.
Fully matured whiskey is finished for about a year in American oak casks that previously held stout from Oregon breweries, including Bent Shovel, Breakside, Culmination, Ex Novo, Fort George, Migration and Sky High. The stout adds a roasted chocolate note that accentuates Westward's signature toast character.
On the palate there is roasted grain, stone fruit, toasted pecan and milk chocolate, with a bold, dry finish.
