Edition No.84 from Whisky Sponge is a 31 year old Auchentoshan, bottled at 53.6% ABV. The whisky comes from a second-fill ex-Bourbon barrel that was filled in 1991.
It is described as showing a generous amount of ripe fruit, honey, dried flowers and soft waxy notes, in a slightly old-school mature malt style. The character is full of flavour, and it is recommended that it be sipped with care.
