Whisky Sponge Edition No.96 Bruichladdich 2005 19 Year Old

Whisky Sponge Edition No.96 is a single 1st fill barrel of Bruichladdich, distilled in 2005 and bottled at 19 years old at natural cask strength. The whisky is unpeated and matured entirely on Islay. It was chosen for the final run of the Whisky Sponge series, as one of two single casks picked from Islay and Jura to celebrate distilleries the bottlers love. It is described as extremely creamy, maritime and bright, with peppery, waxy power and texture. The character is coastal and mineral, showing the robustness of Islay whisky without the peat.
