Whisky Sponge Edition No.97 Jura 1994 30 Year Old (46%)

This is Whisky Sponge Edition No.97, a 30 year old Isle of Jura single malt from a single refill hogshead filled in 1994. It is bottled at natural cask strength, 46% ABV. The cask matured for its whole life on the island, and the whisky is unpeated. It forms part of the final run of the Whisky Sponge series. It is described as pure, distillate-driven, old-school Jura, comparable to a bone-dry, old Chenin Blanc: mineral, waxy, herbaceous and complex, balancing delicacy and elegance with a vivid coastal, island character.
