WhistlePig 12 Year Old is an American rye whiskey aged for 12 years in three kinds of Old World cask. Madeira casks account for 63 per cent, Sauternes casks for 30 per cent and port casks for the remaining 7 per cent.
The spicy character of the rye is set against the sweet flavours that the casks add.
