WhistlePig 15 Year Old Estate Oak Rye is a rye whiskey in a 70cl bottle, bottled at 92 proof. It finishes its 15 years in oak from the producer's own Vermont estate, sustainably harvested from a 500-acre farm.
That wood has more rings than the standard American oak used for whiskey barrels, which gives more flavour during maturation. Custom toast and char profiles take this further, bringing a toasted marshmallow character.
